With the new manifests developers can specify: dependencies including libraries and advanced services; more selective scopes; version deployment and more.

Google Apps Script Manifest Files

Martin Hawksey provides a detailed look at the new Google Apps Script Manifest files. The manifest can be used to control script project properties and are also increasingly feature in new Google Apps Script services, in particular, Gmail Add-ons and Data Studio Community Connectors. Given their potential increasing importance current opportunities for improving the user authentication flow and managing manifest files to aid project management are explored.
